Boy’s Program Focus
The Main Beach Boys Program focuses on bettering young male athletes in skills, character, and competitiveness. The sport of volleyball encourages our athletes to work on physical effort, teamwork, and mental determination. Our staff works on individual and team skills with an emphasis on teaching athletes leadership, communication and modern team offense/defense tactics. Our staff consists of an abundant amount of coaching knowledge, as well as playing knowledge as most competed at the collegiate level and understands what it takes to get to the next level. Main Beach competes with the best in Northern California and prepares our kids for their high school teams that occur in between our seasons.
Boys Fall 2020 10-Week Session:
In response of COVID-19, we canceled of regular fall season travel team in order to keep our athletes, their families and our community safe. The fall 2020 10-week session begins at the beginning of August and continues until early October. Main Beach Volleyball Club normally plays in the NCVA Boys Power League and Far Western Qualifier tournament, but will not this season due to Covid-19. We feel that with the unknown of Covid-19 within other counties the safest direction for our players is to stay within our country. Main Beach has designed a set of COVID safety protocols, which can be found here.
Boys Fall Seasons: (Canceled in response of COVID-19)
Teams range from 18 & Under to 14 & Under and if there are multiple teams within the same age the teams will be differentiated by the the head coaches name in the team title. All teams formed will compete in the NCVA Power League, which consists of the regional qualifier, 4 league tournaments and regional championships. These teams will begin practices in August of every year.
All teams will also be mandated to compete in the Far Western Boys Tournament that is one weekend in January and will conclude the teams’ fall season. This is included in the season fee.
Boys Summer Seasons: (Canceled in response of COVID-19)
All teams formed will practice from mid-May until mid-June with one summer tournament in Anaheim, CA (typically Father’s Day weekend).
Those teams who qualified for Junior Nationals will continue for a week more of practicing before taking off to the Nationals host-city and compete for 4 days (5 days of total travel).
Practice only teams will work on team and individual skills from mid-May to mid-June and will end their season when the competitive teams travel to Anaheim in June.
