Main Beach competes in the Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA) under the umbrella of USA Volleyball, the national governing body for amateur volleyball at all levels of competition. The Northern California Region extends north to the Oregon border, south to Fresno, and west to San Francisco and east to the Utah border. The NCVA website is a source of information on tournaments, dates, times and places.

Competitive teams for ages 12-18

Season Details

Our boys' program started in 2010. Teams will compete in the NCVA power league from Sept-Dec, with the option of playing in two Junior National qualifiers in January. These are traveling teams that will play tournaments all around the Northern California Region. These teams are striving to win a bid for the Junior Nationals while gaining exposure to college recruiters. Practices are held 3 times a week.

Following the spring high school season, the teams will return to practice and travel to a tournament traditionally held in Anaheim. Tryouts will be held for this season to fill out extra spots on existing teams or create new teams if needed.  If the team earns a bid for the Junior Nationals, they will have the opportunity to travel to the Junior Nationals tournament held in early July.
