Covid Safety Protocol: Main Beach Volleyball Club’s number one priority at this time is maintaining the health and safety of the athletes, coaches, and families. Main Beach is adhering to the most up-to-date Santa Cruz County, CDC & State of California guidelines regarding safety, sanitation, and social distancing requirements. We will be following the safety protocol provided by the county of Santa Cruz Health Services Agency, the California Department of Public Health, and the CDC. With that, the following rules will be in place at every team practice/event in order to minimize risk and the spread of Covid-19. Group Safety:
No more than 13 per team.
Coaches will stick with their players.
***Otherwise sanctioned by the director and required to wearing a mask at all times.
Maintain a safe distance of 6 feet or more while in team huddles, on water breaks, waiting in line during a drill, chalk talk, and any other times when players are not actively participating in practice.
Health and Safety Checks:
It is very important that all parents and legal guardians keep players at home if they are sick or have a fever or flu-like symptoms. We will check temperatures upon check-in each day. If a player’s temperature is above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit for the forehead thermometer, they will be asked to set aside for 15 minutes to take their temperature again
