GIRLS COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS

Main Beach competes in the Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA) under the umbrella of USA Volleyball, the national governing body for amateur volleyball at all levels of competition. The Northern California Region extends north to the Oregon border, south to Fresno, and west to San Francisco and east to the Utah border. The NCVA website is a source of information on tournaments, dates, times and places as well as team status for the Power and Premier Leagues.

Competitive teams for ages 12-18

National Teams

The Main Beach National teams are the club’s elite teams and are at the highest level of competition.  These teams are committed to going to Junior Nationals will get exposure to college recruiters through Junior National Qualifying tournaments as well as Junior Nationals.
These teams participate in NCVA Power League (1 - 2 day  Qualifier, 3 league tournaments, 1 - 2 day  Regional tournament), Cal Kick-Off in January, Red Rock Rave  Qualifier in Las Vegas, Far Westerns Qualifier in Reno and USAV Girls Junior Nationals in Chicago. ( The 17s will not play in California Kickoff) 

 

Travel and food expenses are not included. Practices are three days per week.

Power League

Power League tournament play consists of 1 two-day qualifier, 3 Power League tournaments, and a 2 day regional tournament. Players selected for a Power league teams are playing at the highest level of junior volleyball. These teams are striving to win a bid for the Junior Nationals through the region only and will play in Power League, the Cal - Kickoff and The President's Day Tournament ( 3- day tournament).

 

Travel and food expenses are not included. Practices are three days per week.

Premier League

This league is also under the umbrella of the NCVA. Tournament play consists of one qualifier, three league tournaments, and district championships. The Premier league tournaments do not require overnight stays. These teams will also compete at the Cal Kickoff Tournament held in January. Practices are three days per week.

6th - 8th Grade Fall Competitive Season 

Main Beach offers a 3 month program from mid-August through October for 6th - 8th graders. This program is for  players at any skill level who wish to compete locally. Coachability is one of the best attributes of a player especially at this age. With hard work and perseverance skill progression is inevitable.
